About the project
The Aydin Foundation have been feeding the needy in parts of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Uganda during the month of Ramadan and continues to do this on a regular basis. Families who are observing Ramadhan abstain from food and drink between sunrise to sunset. These needy families are unable to gather food upon sunset (known as Iftar) due to lack of funds, ability and disabilities.
As such The Aydin Foundation provide food parcels for at least 30 days to ensure all members of the family get a good, nutritious meals at the end of the fasting day, so that nobody goes hungry. Food parcels for 30 days cost £50 for a family of 6. Each year The Aydin Foundation aim to feed approx. 2000 people during the month of Ramadhan across 2 continents.
