Global Clean Water Project Asia
Global Clean Water Project Africa
Around 1.2 billion people, or almost one-fifth of the world’s population, live in areas of scarcity. Another 1.6 billion people, or almost one quarter of the world’s population, face economic water shortage (where countries lack the necessary infrastructure to take water from rivers and aquifers). The Clean Water Project aims to provide clean and safe drinking water to remote and desolate villages worldwide by installing deep water wells.

Bangladesh is one of the highest disease-burdened countries in the world for ocular morbidity, with tremendously low cataract surgery rates per million population per year. It is estimated that the prevalence of blindness in Bangladesh is 1.53% among the population aged 30 years and older. It is much more among those 50 years and over. Cataracts are responsible for 80% of blindness, making it the leading cause of blindness.

Feed The Needy Project
The Aydin Foundation have been feeding the needy in parts of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Uganda during the month of Ramadan and continues to do this on a regular basis. Families who are observing Ramadhan abstain from food and drink between sunrise to sunset. These needy families are unable to gather food upon sunset (known as Iftar) due to lack of funds, ability and disabilities.

Who ARE
THE AYDIN
FOUNDATION?
“The Aydin Foundation was set up in the memory of baby Aydin Kamaly, who passed away at the age of 16 months whilst on holiday.”
The foundation was started by Aydin’s parents Fahmida and Rumel Kamaly in order to keep his memory alive. Aydin’s main two loves were his love for water and books. The foundation will be focusing on providing aid around these two causes. The purpose of the foundation is to educate, teach and provide. The Aydin Foundation has a 100% Donation Policy.
Aydin’s love of water and books is broad which allows the foundation to focus on different projects surrounding these.
